The reasoning behind each item is because most of us felt that as students we found certain things useful in our past classrooms such as the projectors and the document camera. Those two are important for lectures and you can connect the teachers laptop to the projector and present lessons and videos. For the projector we also included the projector mount for the ceiling and cables that we would need. We got three IPads to be shared among the students and they can be linked up to the projector to do fun activities by students. We got three computers and a printer for the students to be able to use in class and do assignments in class when given the time to (such as group work) On the computers we included Microsoft Office Student 2010, Inspiration 9 and 120 Years of National Geographic because we figured those programs would be good for our students to use while they learn. We also got each student an 8gb USB disk that they are responsible for so that they can bring their assignments back and forth and work on assignments in class. Ultimately, we wanted to keep the fact that this is for a high school history class, but at the same time we tried and give the students some things to be able to have fun.We would also recommend donating the existing computers to a charity that refurbishes them for low income individuals.
